Artist, writer, activist and sustainability/regeneration consultant.
I've always loved nature, having nagged my Mum for a pond as a child and then spending long days terrorising the wildlife. I was entranced then and remain in awe now. I write here about navigating these crazy, challenging and exciting transition times.
I moved to Portugal with my family in September 2020, during the covid pandemic, and promptly got locked-down living atop a mountain in Oleiras. Compared with the nature-depleted, suburban south coast of England where I lived before, its rich in bugs, critters, new plants and everything in between. I'm now starting to learn Portuguese, living and creating in my adopted country.
My interests are broad, and although I'm happiest when grubbing around in the garden, also remain interested in wider technological advances and humanites longterm future. There is so much knowledge we collectively now hold, at the touch of our fingertips and in the palm of our hands. It's these themes I like to explore as I read and learn about the world around me.
